Divisoria with mummy!
by guest writer, Da.The day started with a call reminding me that it was already 8:00 and I had to pick up my hunny before fetching mum at RevFlex (before we head off to Divisoria). Skipping breakfast, and having Pablito to drive us around, we reached the Quezon Avenue, Araneta intersection at around 9:30 (mum wanted to be fetched at around 10-10:30) so we had ample time to stop at Chowking for a quick breakfast!
I had the danggit + tapa combo while Nix had the shanghai lumpia lauriat meal :D Ooo, and the branch manager will get it for not allowing us to change the beef siomai into pork! Cindy (the manager) will get scolded for that, I'm sure! bwahaha. Her fault for not adhering to the laws of Chowking ^._.^ I ate the buchi from the lauriat meal :d all in all, it was a yummy breakfast :d the danggit was fried to crisp (and this makes me a happy boy) :D
After fetching mum at RevFlex (I'm going back to the gym tomorrow morning! :D) we went to Equitable PCI first for some bank errands, then headed off to Masuki for lunch. Masuki is the new version of the Mamonluk noodles according to mum. Lunch was mum's treat, and was also surprisingly expensive with each bowl of beef and chicken noodle broth costing 100 bucks each :O!
After a yummy lunch we headed off to 168, only to find out that the rumors about it being closed were true! Some tax and customs and immigration issue :P Hope they don't scare away the people selling the cheap goods available there tho :S Benson (the guy who sold us the cloth for nap's wedding) told us it'll be opening in a month's time. So wait for our return trip to 168 ;-)
Since we were in the area already, we accompanied mum to Ilaya where we met Benson (who's asking when we'll be getting married ;-) :">). Hunny also got her green chiffon veil for belly dancing for dirt cheap price! :D wooohooo!
After getting the green chiffon veil, and paying Benson for the tela for Nap’s wedding, we went off to Tabora Street, where it’s rumored to have lots of beads and hipscarves. We visited Good Morning and Morning Glory (we should’ve taken pictures! The names sound too good to be true) and asked around, but none of them seem to know what hipscarves are (much to our disappointment). And since the sun was still scorching, we went back to the car with all the tela we got :D
And headed off to SM North! :D where we had halo-halo with mum in iceberg’s since she had one of her cravings (and who were we to deny her that ;-)) and then off we went to watch Moments of Love (with Iza Calzado, Gloria Romero, Karylle and Ding-Dong), which was an okay movie in comparison with other Filipino films :D but still needed improvements in the plausibility and marketability of the story line to reach international standards. I still can’t believe we watched it :)) all it takes is mum to drag us to a Filipino movie after all :))
We had a quaint dinner at home where dad got all talkative for the first time, and also cracked one of his jokes… and got the reaction he wanted :)) I’m happy for the moments we spend quality time with the parents :* :”> I love you bebekins :* We hanged out in my room for a few minutes before driving back to the grinch’s place.
